Course Level 1: Open Water Diver

The Level 1 or Open Water Diver course is the first course in the ACUC Recreational Series. It allows diving up to 18 meters (60 feet) without the supervision of an instructor or a dive master, during the day, and with uninterrupted access to the surface. Exclusively at the Boutique du Plongeur du Saguenay, the drysuit specialization is free at level 1 (a value of $185). The course is given over seven weeks at the rate of one meeting per week or in the form of an intensive course given over three weekends. The certification includes four open water dives with all equipment provided. Includes the A diving qualification in Quebec.
