Waterproof D9X
Based on Waterproof's world's first Ultra Light D9 drysuit concept, the D9X Extended Breathable Drysuit offers some technical improvements. As a recreational diver, you can always decide NOT to dive if environmental or weather issues are a concern or if you don't want to abuse or risk your equipment. But for some divers it's not always a choice. To meet their needs for reinforced equipment, R&D Waterproof redesigned the standard D9 suit and found a way to reinforce certain areas without compromising the most important feature of the suit: the Ultra-Light concept.
The suit features a new reinforced laminate material, the same as we use in our EX2 suits, extra elbow reinforcement to Zip-Off neoprene warm cuffs, designed to easily accept any dry glove system. Extra reinforced back and knees, light pockets on both legs (with two rope loops on each) and comes with XLITE soft boots. Yes, the breathable D9X drysuit weighs a little more than the ultra-lightweight D9 drysuit, but we know that most divers are willing to carry a little more weight in exchange for extra performance.
This suit received the 2016 and 2017 Tauchen award for best drysuit of the year.
